Anam AI Avatar Integration
ChatBotKit now integrates with Anam, bringing lifelike, real-time AI avatars to the front of your agents. With this integration, an Anam persona handles the human experience - face, voice, and presence - while ChatBotKit provides the agent layer behind it: tools, integrations, datasets, memory, and real workflows.
The result is an AI representative that does more than talk. It can understand context, take actions across connected systems, and complete real tasks, all through a natural, face-to-face conversation.
Once connected, you can select any Anam persona and pair it with a CBK bot. The avatar streams in real time, listening to the user and speaking your bot's responses as they are generated. Because the conversation runs on ChatBotKit, the avatar inherits everything your bot can do - retrieval over your datasets, persistent memory, user credentials, and the full skillset engine with its catalogue of integrations and abilities.
Avatars can also call client-side functions during a conversation, making it possible to drive on-screen UI, surface information, and trigger actions in the page as the user talks. This turns an avatar from a talking head into an interactive, agentic representative that can qualify a visitor, answer detailed questions, and act on what it learns.
Integrations can be private to your account, shared with sub-accounts, or made public with an embeddable frame, so you can drop a working avatar into a landing page, an app, or an internal tool with a single URL.
Setting up the Anam integration is straightforward. From the ChatBotKit portal, navigate to the Integrations section and select Anam. Add your Anam API key, choose a persona, and select the bot you want behind the avatar. From there you can test the experience directly and embed it wherever you need it.
