Google Chat Integration
ChatBotKit's Google Chat integration brings conversational AI directly into Google Workspace. Deploy intelligent bots into Google Chat spaces and direct messages so teams can get answers and trigger workflows without leaving the tools they use every day.
The integration builds on ChatBotKit's Google Workspace agent capabilities, which span Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, and Google Docs, placing AI assistance at the heart of real-time team communication.
What You Can Do
- Respond in spaces: Bots listen for mentions and messages and reply with context-aware, AI-generated answers.
- Handle direct messages: Hold one-on-one conversations with team members inside Google Chat.
- Run agentic workflows: A simple chat message can kick off multi-step actions through ChatBotKit's skillset engine.
- Tap Google Workspace: Combine with Gmail, Calendar, Meet, and Docs agent capabilities for richer assistance.
- Search company knowledge: Connect datasets so the bot answers from your proprietary information.
How It Works
When a user mentions or messages the bot in a Google Chat space or DM, Google forwards the event to ChatBotKit, which generates a reply using the bot's configured model, skillsets, datasets, and memory. The same bot configuration available across your ChatBotKit account applies here, so the assistant behaves consistently wherever it is deployed.
Setup
From the ChatBotKit portal, open the Integrations section and select Google Chat. Authorize your Google Workspace account, configure the bot's name, icon, and AI behavior, then publish it to any space in your organization. No custom infrastructure or deep technical expertise is required.
Practical Uses
Google Chat bots suit internal assistants that help employees find information, summarize documents, manage calendars, and start automated workflows. For Google Workspace organizations, the integration completes the picture by bringing AI into the place where real-time team conversation happens.
