We are excited to announce a new feature addition to our Datasets offering. This innovative enhancement - a configurable reranking algorithm - promises to significantly improve the accuracy of returned results and is currently available in beta.

ChatBotKit's Datasets have always been renowned for their robustness and efficiency. With the introduction of the reranking algorithm option, users can now pull more records from the dataset and apply a second-level sorting of the results. This novel feature works seamlessly within the context of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), taking the capabilities of AI language models to new heights.

RAG, a hybrid model fusing the benefits of retrieval and generation models, allows the AI to pull relevant information from a dataset while crafting responses. The new reranking algorithm acts as a second pair of eyes, meticulously scrutinizing the initial records fetched by RAG. It then sorts these records, ensuring that the most relevant information is prioritized.

The introduction of the reranking algorithm ensures that while the AI still receives a limited number of records, the relevance and accuracy of these records are significantly improved. This results in a higher overall performance without any additional cost to the user.
