Who's building this thing? A team of experienced developers has different needs than a product team using no-code tools. Deep AI expertise lets you work with lower-level frameworks. Business-focused teams benefit from higher-level abstractions. The best framework matches your team's strengths and addresses their gaps.
The mistake is choosing based on what you want your team to be rather than what they are.
How complex is your use case, really? FAQ bots answering common questions are fundamentally different from multi-step troubleshooting assistants. Simple use cases benefit from simple frameworks. Adding unnecessary complexity creates maintenance burden without value. Complex use cases need frameworks that can scale with that complexity.

Teams choose based on features, then discover three months later that the framework is effectively abandoned, or they're the only ones solving their specific problems, or breaking changes arrive constantly. For production, the framework that's been around for two years with consistent releases and comprehensive docs is often safer than the newer one with flashier features.
